For over 2 decades, I taught music to children, trained teachers, and built programs across schools in India. But nothing prepared me more than raising my own three little ones. Alongside my wife Carol, I'm now raising a musical (and very energetic!) family here in Bangalore. And through every lullaby, jam, and dinnertime sing-along, I’ve seen firsthand how music can shape confident, curious, and emotionally strong children. As a parent, I know the confusion, the guilt, and the constant question: “Am I doing enough?” That’s why I started Tāla Kids, to help families like yours raise musically confident children from birth to age 7, using play-based, research-backed approaches that actually work.
